HISTORY
2019
The company Schlenker Federn is acquired to 100%. This enterprise, with over 80 years of experience in the field of technical springs, is integrated into the Sauter Group.
A group of “spring specialists” is established, with three locations: Furtwangen, Singen and Villingen-Schwenningen. Today, the Sauter Group numbers 130 employees and achieves annual sales of €17 million on premises measuring approx. 9000 m² with over 200 production machines.
2015
The company’s second location is opened in Singen, with the focus on “production under clean and hygienic conditions for applications in medical technology”. Its area of more than 4500 m² provides additional space for production, logistics and administration.
2006
Entry into the medical technology sector, and subsequent extension of production.
2001
Certification of the management system acc. to ISO TS 16949, leading to strong growth in the automotive sector.
1995
Introduction of a quality management system and certification acc. to DIN 9002.
1985 – 2002
In several construction stages, space is provided at the Furtwangen location for constant growth (approx. 3000 m² for production, storage and administration).
1988 – 1997
In the years 1988 to 1997, Gerold Sauter’s three sons join the company. The third generation continues to successfully manage the companies of the Sauter Group to this day.
1951
Heinrich Sauter’s son Gerold joins the company, initially as an employee. The enterprise later undergoes further positive developments under his management.
1950
After the early days in the Sauters’ house in Eigenheimweg, operations are relocated to the present headquarters in Goethestrasse.
1934
Despite the economically and politically difficult times, Heinrich Sauter ventures into independence. The company “Heinrich Sauter – Spiralfedernfabrikation” is entered in the Trade Register of the City of Furtwangen on 2nd July.
